Blog post on Cancer

I have to add this link to my blog. It's a wonderful article on Cancer and references to healers if you have cancer.
I have read a few books that mention these docs too. It's good info to tuck away.

Do you eat bagged baby carrots?

I received this in an email from my friend Jenny, I did not know this!! Guess I won't be buying those anymore!

From the Department of Life Education:
Baby Carrots
The following is information from a farmer who grows and packages carrots for IGA, METRO, LOBLAWS, etc.
The small cocktail (baby) carrots you buy in small plastic bags are made using the larger crooked or deformed carrots which are put through a machine which cuts and shapes them into cocktail carrots - most people probably know this already.
What you may not know and should know is the following:
Once the carrots are cut and shaped into cocktail carrots they are dipped in a solution of water and chlorine in order to preserve them (this is the same chlorine used in your pool).
Since they do not have their skin or natural protective covering, they give them a higher dose of chlorine.
You will notice that once you keep these carrots in your refrigerator for a few days, a white covering will form on the carrots. This is the chlorine which resurfaces.  At what cost do we put our health at risk to have esthetically pleasing vegetables?
Chlorine is a very well-known carcinogen, which causes Cancer.  I thought this was worth passing on. Pass it on to as many people as possible in hopes of informing them where these carrots come from and how they are processed.
Confirmed by Snopes:1. snopes.com: Baby Carrots
Are baby carrots made from deformed full-sized carrots that have been soaked in chlorine?
...Carrot and Shtick Claim: Baby carrots are made from deformed full-sized carrots that have been permeated with chlorine. Example: [Collected via....
...carrots that you buy in grocery stores come from deformed crooked big carrots. They are put through a machine to become small cocktail carrots. This part...
....I think after reading this we will all start  making our own carrot sticks out of fresh carrots and keep them in the fridge (a few at a time), right?...

Some sites for Organic skin care

What you are putting on your face can be toxic for you. Our skin is like a sponge and it soaks in whatever you put on it! So if there is toxins in your make up or facial cleansers, the toxins are soaking into your skin and wrecking havoc on your immune system.
Here's a list of some places you can get Organic skin care. :)

MSG

I've been doing a bit of reading on MSG and didn't realize all the effects from it!!
Here are just a few reactions to msg, there are too many to list!

Headaches, heart palpatations, in tense cravings for the same foods, migraines, hives, aggressive or agitated behavior, gastrointestinal or reproductive tract, asthma, runny nose, insomnia, seizures, mood swings, panic attacks, diarrhea, allergy, autism, diabetes, depression, dizziness, fibromyalgia, high blood pressure, hypothyroidism, IBS, rosacea, tinnitus, and the list goes on! Do your own research on it.

I am going to try my best to really watch labels now and try not to purchase things with msg. This is going to be a big job, just looking through my cabinets there is so much with msg in it. You have to look for other names, it won't just say msg. Here's a few links.

Whole food vs synthetic supplements

Whole Food vs Synthetic Supplements Ideally, we as humans should be consuming our vitamins and minerals through foods in their whole, natural and organic form with all the essential co-factors and enzymes essential for delivering the nutrients directly to our cells. We have however established that due to the state of our soils and planet, food is unlikely to always provide the essential vitamins and minerals required for optimal health. A reasonable option is therefore to supplement (in conjunction with a healthy diet). However, when confronted with the barrage of supplements available on the market, it is difficult to discern weather natural or synthetic supplements are appropriate for your individual needs.

Supplements may be natural food derivatives or laboratory manufactured. The majority of vitamins that are sold in pharmacies, grocery stores, and vitamin shops are synthetic vitamins, which are only isolated portions of the vitamins that occur naturally in food. Vitamins and minerals in nature do not exist as single components that act on their own, they are made up of several different components – enzymes, co-enzymes, and co-factors– that must work together to produce their intended effects. In this context natural supplements are far superior to their synthetic counterparts.
